I pay my Ex wife £580 per month as worked out by the CSA years ago
recently her circumstances have changed & the School our daughter attends have asked us to contribute yearly
the fee is around £2500 per year (its a private School)
Im happy to pay half that fee
my Daughter has attended that school for 4 years & my wife has always paid for School Dinners (no packed lunches allowed)
now she wants me to contribute to paying half yearly fee & half the fee for the lunches to - this is an extra £400
Should I pay the extra? or is this covered in my CSA payment?
Unless you have a court order laying out the costs of private education, I don't think you have any legal obligation to pay this.
I would say this is a decision you will have to reach between yourselves.
If you've both chosen to educate privately it might be something you could both choose to pay? CSA is worked out at a basic rate and doesn't take into account private education costs.
We don't know either of your financial circumstances but if not sharing the extra costs would impact on your child, then it's certainly something you need to discuss.
Perhaps it might be worth attending mediation if you can't reach agreement.
