Can anyone tell me which figure the CSA use in there calculations from the SA302 form?
Is it the Total Income received figure or the Total income on which tax is due?
The CSA website asks for weekly figure, do I divide one of the above figures by 52 to determine the weekly amount?
Any help or advice much appreciated
Not sure what form is what, but the CMS work on the Gross figures (ie the total amount before tax) and the CSA work on net (takehome pay). Dividing annual figure by 52 should be fine.
Thanks
The CSA no longer operate though and its a relatively new claim, so assume it will be CMS?
Yes it will be CMS.

...actually the CSA are still operating as they are still moving cases over to the new system, this should be completed in 2017. I'm sure actd gave you both options just to cover all bases.
Hello metalmick
You are right in thinking that if a statutory case has been put in place recently, it will be set up via the Child Maintenance Service. Although the Child Support Agency (CSA) are still operational, they are only dealing with existing cases now.
As mentioned, the Child Maintenance Service use the paying parent’s taxable, gross income to calculate maintenance payments. You can find more information about how they work here, https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/325219/how-we-work-out-child-maintenance.pdf
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have a web application, ‘Sorting out separation’. It aims to make it much easier for separating and separated parents (and childless couples) to find the support they need, when and where they need it, and encourages them to collaborate on a range of issues.
