[Solved] RP closing CMS case, what's the procedure?

Hi all,

My CMS care was up for renewal on 21st Feb. I was expecting to recieve a letter around 20 days before to state predicted new payment plan for 21st Feb onwards but received nothing. I received a call on 21st Feb to state that the RP was closing the case as the child in question had left full time education (even though she is 16?) and that the CMS would be investigating this and then will let me know if I was entitled to any money back.
I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this, I'm not sure why they would be investigating it but I was wondering roughly how long this takes and whether I will be receiving a letter to confirm this. I have stopped to direct debit as advised but will only believe it when I have it on writing.
I have no contact with RP and no way of contacting her to find out what's happening.

Thanks
Gaz

Make sure you get written confirmation from the CMS that the case is closed and that there is no further liability - best to be safe on this.

Thank you for you're reply. That's what I'm concerned about, not sure how long I should leave it before I start chasing for one. They have always been pretty immediate when it has come to correspondence when sorting out the payments, was hoping it may be the same case with this

It might be advisable to put some money to one side until you get the written confirmation...knowing the CSA they might move the goalposts!

Best of luck

Yeah I'm definitely going to putting it to one side, I don't trust them at all
