My ex has gone to the CSA as I'm off work sick (took weeks to sort out SSP) and unable to pay previous full arrangement (lots of notice given payments will reduce). I've been sending £10 a week to bank in line with CSA calculator and she keeps telling me to stop paying in to her bank as she's gone to CSA. I've refused politely and will continue until i hear from them but am I doing the right thing?
Hi,
If she has contacted CMS to open a claim, then they will write to you and give a payment plan. Soon as you get a letter, call them and tell them your out of work and on sick pay. They will likely work out your payments as £7 a week.
You can keep on paying her if you like. And can explain to CMS that you have good track record of paying her maintenance.
