Hi there,

I have been told by CSA what my payments will be, which is fine. I want to do this direct pay to avoid the £90 fee. The receiving parent will not answer my calls of text to get this set up purely so that I receive these ectra charges even though it means her losing a small amount herself. Can CSA step in? They seem so unhelpful, always side with thr mother.

I had similar situation with ex, and to avoid being accused of harassment. I would suggest you contact CMS and advised them to provide you receiving parent's account details for you to make regular CMS payments. If ex will not answer calls and text as you stated, be careful and possibly consider not to contact ex again to avoid being falsely accused of harassment (you can look up legal definition of Harassment - both in criminal and civil proceedings).

@bob49papa yes. Let CMS contact receiving parent and get bank details for you.

hi,

have CMS written to you with a payment plan? it should state whether you are on direct pay. please check the papers. the default is direct pay. they are implementing new rules to put someone straight onto collect and pay if the receiving parent is victim of domestic abuse. other time they put you on collect and pay is if you miss payments or are late.
