Hello, I'm a Nrp parent (not my choice) and have paid money every month without fail to my ex and son. I haven't been able to see my son at all (not my choice) I have no idea where they live, or any contact, just a bank account! However my son will be 16 this year and while I'm aware I need to pay potentially until he is 20, I have no way of finding out what he is doing I.e if he is going to leave school, higher education etc., how would I go about finding any kind of information out about where he is or what he is doing so I know whether to still pay child maintenence or not?
Kind regards and hope someone can point me in the right direction. I should also mention that I doubt my ex would tell me the correct info anyway if I did ask 🙁
It depends on whether you think your ex will claim benefits fraudulently - if not, then I think you can ask the CSA to check if benefits are still being paid, and if not, your payments will stop.
Have you considered trying to have contact at all - there are posts on here about the procedures when you don't know where they live.
