Hi,
Just a quick question, i already have a CMS case open with payments going to my Ex for 1 child.
If i have a 2nd case opened by a different person how is the payment split.
My ex who is currently receiving the payment for my first daughter is adamant that i will have to pay the exact same amount for the the 2nd claim as the first.
If this is true i will be paying double what i am paying now and would ruin me financially, i was under the impression it would be recalculated and be split 50/50, so in effect my ex's payments would drop a little to match the amount awarded to the 2nd claim for my other daughter.
Is CMS child maintenance? If it is there is a calculator on the website, which will work out payment for both children. You don’t need to input your name, but will need salary and details of how often you have the children to stay overnight with you.
Hi there
Use the CMS calculator.
It's 12% of your gross weekly income for 1 child and then 16% for 2 children. This 16% would then be split between both children..
