Hi,
Hopefully a quick answer to this but how am I suppose to upload evidence when it comes to traveling to see your children i.e fuel.
My fuel is put in every few weeks and obviously I work, go shopping etc...
I can show my travel and cost with RAC fuel calculator for example, does this also count as additional evidence?
So I just wondered what evidence, how and what additional evidence should I be supplying? i.e bank, address, anything else?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
If you log into your cms account online, there is a menu option to report special expenses for child contact. Will likely ask how many miles you travel for child contact.
@bill337 let me rephase, it is asking me to upload evidence but uploading a £40 pay(id) bank payment of fuel doesn't prove anything. Yes they did ask the questions regarding mileage etc... but it says if I do not upload evidence they will close the submission.
I just need some clarification as to what to upload, thanks
Do you have receipts from petrol station
@bill337 I have a receipt but for obvious reasons i.e driving to work, shopping etc... I put more fuel in. So I end up putting more fuel in than the actual cost of the travel.
I am also not understanding, is by uploading a fuel receipt how that proves my travel. Maybe someone knows the answer to this?
I would just upload the receipt it's probably a tick box thing for the person at the CMS end
I uploaded a receipt. Rejected. They've calculated my fuel cost is only £9.54 a week so I don't qualify.
They use an HMRC calculation that I believe they shouldn't be. The HMRC website is here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/advisory-fuel-rates
"Calculating mileage costs for Child Maintenance" doesn't appear to be on HMRC's list of approved uses.
I would love to some how force a review of CMS policy regarding travel costs. It's unfair. Do I need to dress as a superhero and climb up something? Suggestions as to what to climb are welcomed. Superhero already dedcided.
