Hello All
I have started a petition online to ask that the new methods of assessing income under the CMS gross income rules be addressed and returned to the old method of calculating on net income which was much fairer.
The link is here https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/177749/sponsors/sZisAaGFz7y5R129JZ7G
I have also asked my local MP to challenge the way in which the assessments are made. I suggest we need to start a campaign to stop this and revert it back to net income calculation which is the only thing we can control.
Let me know your thoughts.
Robert
Hi
I've moved your post into its own thread and retitled it... it's better not to tag a post onto others threads as it does sometimes get overlooked.
I do personally think that the CMS needs a major overhaul, but each time this is done it gets worse!
I would like to see mothers income taken into account too, especially where they are higher earners. Fathers in low paid jobs are at much greater risk of being unable to meet the rising cost of basic living, without having to find child maintenance costs on top....so I'd like fair living costs also factored in to the equation.
