[Solved] Pension contribution not affecting payments

Hi
I’m just starting going through the horrible CMS process.
I’ve been paying maintenance for 12 years. The mother was asking for money and gone hardball. So she has gone to CMS. I assumed it would be fair...but no.
There is no court order in place and she has told CMS that my daughter never stays and never will do which means I need to go to court.
I have also been paying a good pension and the online calculator says remove pension contributions. But when the formal response from CMS is given, the pension will not be taken into consideration.
Help please.

The pension certainly should be taken off your income before the calculation is done - I'd go back to them an ask them to check that. It should be a straight calculation based on your gross income, less pension payments, If you are paying for anything other than maintenance, then you can reconsider whether you want to continue - the maintenance is to cover everything.

hi,

yep pension contributions are definitely taken into account, as well as any other children that live with you.
