Can someone with direct experience of this tell me, that if paying for two children with an ex, do the payments to the ex reduce if you have a baby with a new partner?

Hi, this is precisely the position I was in a couple of years ago. And yes, categorically, you can reduce maintenance payments if you're basing current amounts on the CMS calculator figures.

I wasn't using the CMS formally, but was and still am using their calculator as a guide to what I pay the ex. You're always free to pay more than this of course, but aren't obliged to.

yes, if you have other children living with you, or your partner, then that affects and reduces the maintenance you pay to ex. I think its written in their booklet somewhere. last time I spoke to them, they asked me questions like am I supporting other children?
