hello all,
My Daughter is 18 years old, and currently attending college for A-levels to attend university, I have a few questions which I would like to be answered.
1, I am currently paying maintenance (it was agreed between partner and I), legally when can this stop,
2, don't want to stop supporting daughter, can I pay an amount direct to her/

many thanks

If the CSA aren't involved you can legally stop when you like

With the CSA it stops at the age of 20. Unless the child is at university or studying a higher level course, then it can be as early as 18 (It depends on what a level course your daughter is doing)

Yes you can pay her direct at the moment, but as soon as the CSA get involved it would have to be given to the mother

.. and you have to be aware that if she contacts the CMS, you may get stung for arrears if they are slow to contact you.
