Hi there.. Greetings everyone! This is my first message on the board.
Can any one help? I have been paying through the CSA ( £250 per month paid direct from my salary through my employer) for my 18 year old son to attend college on a BTec, year 2 course.
I have on good authority that he's hardly attended, from the start of the course year from Sept 2013. He's simply at home with his mum doing nothing never leaving the house. I have beeen paying her through the CSA from 1996! Before he was 1 year old and I havent had contact with him because of parental allianation since the age of 6.
I have contacted the college, but because he is 18 and data protection they will not give me any information.
My question is how do I go about proving he's not attending ?
And how do I get all that money paid back if at all possible?
Many thanks!
Hard one! As the CSA will say as long as child benefit is being paid then CSA is payable and if the mum hasn't informed the CB the child isn't attending college, you've no hope!
I was told to contact the fraud dept at CB, I filled in the online form and told them she is not eligible for CB as the child is over 18 and no longer in full time education
Once that's stopped then the CSA stops
