hey everyone, im currently self employed but thinking about going back to work for a firm, as this will be a paye job will the csa know im working there?? is it my responsability to let them know? the calculation says if I take home 200 pounds per week I pay 40 pounds csa does this sound right? thanks everyone
Yes, you are obliged to let them know a change of circumstances that will affect your payments. Assuming you have 2 children, then the figures you have given are correct.
Hi nrp11
Thanks for your post, I’m William the Child Maintenance Options consultant. It is your responsibility to inform the Child Support Agency (CSA) of any changes to your circumstances. Further information regarding this can be found at https://www.gov.uk/child-maintenance/changes-you-need-to-report.
If you would like an indication of how much maintenance may be payable, based on how the CSA calculates maintenance, there is a calculator available on our website at http://www.cmoptions.org/en/calculator/.
To find out more about how Child Maintenance Options can help you visit cmoptions.org or call us free on 0800 988 0988 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday or 9am and 4pm on Saturday.
Thanks
William
