Divorced twelve years ago and organised the maintenance payments between ourselves using the CMA calculator.

do I have to include annual pay rises in to the calculation since the divorce or do I use the gross salary I was on at the point of receiving decree absolute?

hi,

I think after each tax year, you should input your gross income into calculator site. so if you had pay rises in that tax year, would be taken into  account. this is how it would work if CMS were doing the calculations each year.

I have being doing that. However, I am informed that as long as it’s not more than 20% (pay rise) you don’t have to consider it.

@keith2024 CMS disregard increases or decreases of 25% for recalculation during the year, but they do a recalculation each year, and then any change at all is taken into account. If your agreement is voluntary with your ex, then it's up to the two of you to agree (or leave) the amount as it is, but if your ex isn't happy with the figure, she can always open a case with CMS who will then use the current/future calculations
