[Solved] over payment and arrears

Hi there, new to all this, but frustration with the CSA is driving me mad 😡
The CSA notified me back in mid Aug 2011, that my payment would cease for my son when he was 19 years old at the beginning Aug,2011.
He had however, been in full time employment several months before this and I had been paying after I should have!
After 'they' stopped my direct debit payment, their final closing assessment, calculated (wrong date) that I have an outstanding arrears of £33.39, that they keep pursing me for, to this day.
Following numerous phone conversation with my local CSA Office over the last few years, they told me that the overpayment was my fault!!....................apparently for not telling them how to run thing! and that the case was now closed and they will not correct THEIR mistake but, would still pursue me for the outstanding amount.
Having overpaid possibly several hundreds of pounds, I have no intension of paying any more, even this poultry amount, on principle!
Now they are threatening me with legal action!!
Does anyone have any advise or similar experience? Please help!

I have moved your post here as you may get a better response.

I would suggest you go and see your MP about this, if you have tried multiple times to sort it out and they are refusing your MP may be able to get them to listen

Did you notify them of the chance in circumstances of your son leaving education and working? If not, then that may be what they are referring to - they only recalculate from the date they are notified of changes, though your ex is obliged to tell them of the change in circumstances - it could be more her fault than the CSA.
