Hello.
I will pay £200 a month towards my son.
I understand that child maintenance covers nursery and basics like food clothes.
But when my son leaves nursery should some of this money go into his bank account ?
Thanks
How have you come to the £200 - is that an agreement with your ex? Your ex can apply via CMS at any time, at which point the maintenance is determined by your gross income, but this then covers everything and you aren't obliged to pay any more, but you also have no choice where to pay the money, it does have to go to your ex.
As has already been said, you have no say in what the maintenance payments are used for. It's equally important to provide a child with a home, so the money may be used towards paying household bills.
