No longer self employed

I am seeking some advice about my child maintenance case. I had been self employed, submitting my tax returns in January. My review is in August and I would update my income in the January with my tax return. In April of this year I became employed and I informed the CMS of this and told them I was no longer self employed. They have rejected my updated income and they seem to have combined both my incomes from my January self employed submission and my voluntary declaration of an increased PAYE wage. I was asked to provide details from HMRC that I am no longer self employed towards a mandatory reconsideration. I did get this letter and submitted it to the CMS along with all PAYE wages and pension info. I have seen yesterday that this mandatory reconsideration has also been rejected.

Is it correct that they should combine my two incomes currently? My thoughts are that I did earn that Self employed income and should therefore pay the child maintenance on it. Is that right?

If that is right, how and when can I inform them I am no longer self employed? I will submit my most recent self employed records in Jan of 2025 and will then have a small tax payment to make in April 2025 to finish my self employed tax liabilities.

Is there any financial or CMS specific advice I could get access to? I'm looking at NACSA but they seem expensive if they're just going to say "yeah that's how it works."

Any help would be massively appreciated, I'm trying to figure out if I should be going to tribunal with this if I've made a silly mistake.

Thanks in advance, Rob
