I agree completely - the CSA have been known to tell the NRP that the money could be for anything, and have disregarded it.

Thank you for your post. As Huxley has mentioned, using a Standing Order will make sure payments are made on time and are recorded. You can find more information about the ways to pay child maintenance on our website at http://www.cmoptions.org/en/maintenance/ways-to-pay.asp.

If your ex-partner decided to make an application to the Child Maintenance Service, your responsibility to pay will be around the point when you are contacted by the Child Maintenance Service. You can find more information about using the Child Maintenance Service on Gov.uk at https://www.gov.uk/child-maintenance/overview.
