I start a new job on Monday. Will be earning around 300 a week. Atm I haven't had no work since Nov yet tgey are still taking csa as I had to be on no income for 7 weeks in order for it to change. Anyway it's only just been 7 weeks. But I start a new job on Monday. Do they not take into account all the time I continued paying out of my overdraft with no income. When do I have to tell csa. I've worked out that csa will be 206 a month.
You'd have to speak to them to be certain, but unfortunately, I'd guess that they won't account for this. However I haven't heard of this 7 week rule, so I'd consider complaining to the ombudsman about this as I think it should have been an immediate reduction.
Did you inform them as soon as you stopped working? If not they won't take it into account. Like actd, I have never heard of this 7 week rule either....if they repeat this to you ask them to put it in writing.
Unfortunately they won't take into account the time you continued to pay without an income. You must always inform the CSA of any changes to your employment status.
As soon as you change your job you need to tell CMS. They take about a month to blummin do the paper works! Its a headache but you will have to continually pay until they get the paper work done unfortunately!
