Guys can you please help me. my girlfriend and i have now split up. I earn £32,032 a year
She has asked me to leave our family home which I now have so I rent a room.
I am not sure how many times I am allowed to have her stay overnight yet so im going to struggle given CSA a number.
My main concern is I work abroad from time to time and get a little extra each time I go. Is that taken into account?
its hard to put a figure on how much extra i get because i dont go regularly and I i dont go for the same amount of time which changes the amount I get.
Any help would be great
Sorry to hear about your troubles fella, theres lots on here been through similar and you might find some comfort and support.
Its now the CMS

You dont give a number they get it from the tax office and without overnights they'll just assume you dont until you agree. They wont allow time to sort this out if someone makes an application.
Your amount will be taken from the tax office most likely so if that amount goes thorugh the books, then yes.
Thanks for the info. Ok I get it so it doesnt work on your basic pay it works on how much goes through the tax office?
Im dreading all this. Most likely ill get stung because shes good at all this type of stuff and i just do as im told.
Well you are in good hands because many people on here have seen this time and time again, you will have to pay what is asked unless you can come to an agreement with the ex. Just remember your rights as a father as well though, if something doesn't feel right it probably isn't so always come here and ask questions if you need to.

Hello maxwills
As mentioned previously, the Child Maintenance Service now run the Government’s statutory maintenance scheme. The income they take into account is your gross, taxable weekly income. They take the figures directly from HMRC.
You can find detailed information on how the Child Maintenance Service work out payments here, https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/325219/how-we-work-out-child-maintenance.pdf
There is also a maintenance calculator on the Child Maintenance Options website, http://www.cmoptions.org/en/calculator/y
The Child Maintenance Service are just one option available to you to set up maintenance payments. If you would like information about the other options and to receive a more personalised service, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly, http://www.cmoptions.org
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have a web application, ‘Sorting out separation’. It aims to make it much easier for separating and separated parents (and childless couples) to find the support they need, when and where they need it, and encourages them to collaborate on a range of issues.
