HI
I need some advice please. I have been with the csa since September 2000. I have recently been reassessed by the child maintenance service. The new assessment is now £445 per month for 1 child (this includes arrears). When appealing will the team take into consideration council tax, rent, utilities etc? I am now left with only £600 per month of my salary, obviously this is a small sum to try to live off of! Any advice is appreciated..
Hi there
Unfortunately they don't take your outgoings into account, I wish I could offer you some advice but the CSA can be very difficult to deal with in situations like this. Hopefully they will reduce the amount of arrears that they are taking from you currently.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your appeal, you could try going to your MP to ask for help, they can refer cases to the Parliamentary Omsbudsman.
Best of luck
