[Solved] New CMS system. Are you £1000s out of pocket?

This is my first post so hope you find it useful.

As you may or may not be aware CMS now get your income (to calculate your payments) direct from Inland Revenue using a new computer interface programme. However there is a massive problem with this interface and is currently being discussed in parliament.

In October this year I won my tribunal against CMS. The issue arose when I was due my annual review and the interface was saying that the most up-to-date Inland Revenue information was 3 years out of date. CMS couldn't tell my why this was so out-of-date and the income on their system was the most current under the "terms" of the interface. My current income at the time was well outside the 25% threshold, however due to my pay not being regular through out the year CMS would not take this into consideration- in short they wouldn't accept that I was earning over £16,000 less.

What you need to be aware of is that:
1. The interface is not always recognising changes in circumstances
2. Even though a change in your average annual earnings might be outside their 25% threshold, CMS will NOT take this into account if you're supplying payslips for a period of employment within the year that doesn't meet their threshold. (E.g. You only work for the first 6 months, then don't work for the remainder of the year)
3. CMS will not tell you what the "terms" of the interface are, so won't give you any explanation

Hope this may have been of some use to you...

This is all too familiar, principle 4 of the data protection act 1998 which applies to everyone and I mean everyone who holds a person or persons data have to abide by the these laws states and I quote :- Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date. Clearly there interface (big cough) as you put is not holding current and up to date information, regardless of what they say.

100% Fact no1 - The CMS uses the HMRC for information like a hand to glove quoted by Caroline Nokes the person who is responsible as for the child maintenance service. Clearly she is very out of touch with her responsibilities as in your case and mine, this is not happening, they have records for me in 2014 but none for 2015 and 2016, going on what the unsympathetic and arrogant fool,at the CMS said there computer said no information found ? Yet the HMRC have assured me my records are 100% up to date in there system, at this point I feel like a one wheeled Darlek going round and round, my life has blown apart because one computer doesn't communicate with other, I mean come on I can send an email to anyone on the planet who has an email address but they can't communicate from CMS to HMRC and vice Versa ... disgusting and dispicable behaviour from these so called professional Gov ran bodies, I have never once said to the CMS I will not pay for the one child I have, let me repeat this for all the dirty, twisted and greedy little mums out there who thinks that making a career out of the CMS is funny and clever, I WONT TO PAY FOR MY DAUGHTER .... but how can I when 70% of my wage gets taken without any thought on how I am going to live, jobless was months ago for me and homeless is next, what good is child support if the very man who is meant to provide cant support himself, Most people who read this and take a different view will be the ones who take the attitude of I'm alright jack, and go back to there's cosy little life's, bottom line the non self employed are easy targets as we work and get a payslip at the end of every week or month for them the CMS to come along and go pick a number between 1 and 10 ....Erm Erm 6 ... thank you that's 70% we will take .... at this point I'm screwed, £3.42 I had to live on that week for food, but I just working class dad And people say shut up and get on with it just because they think they can, they think there been clever and funny and have no idea that £3.42 is rice and beans for the week, I have never been to prison and never committed any serious crime, other than the odd speeding ticket, worked all my life, I want to pay child support but now after 40 something years the gloves are off and I will try every dirty little trick in the book to make sure I don't pay as the CMS have been irrational and there behaviour has been like a slow debilitating death, you can call me a pig to a dog I DONT CARE ... ONE MORE TIME I DONT CARE ..the system and all the little scumbags out there that support it because it does not effect them Go to [censored] .. GOOD LUCK ALL YOU HONEST, HARD WORKING DADS ..LOVE SEAN
