Hello first time poster here, iv been separated 4 yrs ,pay my ex partner roughly 280 a month for two children ,no problems with that, but I would like to know, iv recently got married and have a new child due in August, will either of these situations affect my payments or the amount I pay..I currently pay for my other two children on her saying they are not here more than one night a week through the year ?
Hi, welcome to the forum and congratulations!
If you pay through CMS then yes your payments will reduce if you have a dependent child in your home. You can check how much by using the calculator here;
http://www.cmoptions.org/en/calculator/
If you have your children to stay more than she says, you need to speak to the CMS about what proof they will accept if this is not the case.
Hi There,
.
As Yoda has said once your child is born and you are claiming child beinifit then the amount you pay will decrease, being married doesn't effect it though.
