Hi all my name is barney, i have just had the shock of my life just had a letter from the CSA for over due chid maintenance £44208.25p this is the first time i have ever had a letter from them, it all concerns my daugther who is now 20 i have always paid her mother maintenance and my daugther lived with me from when she was 15 years old, im not a rich man and work hard for my family but this has me worried sick any advise would be great and much appreciated, i dont have much spare cash but do i need to go and pay for a solicitor?

The [censored] CSA , they're like gangsters! Have you spoken to them about it? If you have and they wont budge then the best advice I can give is to go and see your MP. Its outrageous that you've only received one letter about this from them but it doesn't surprise me! 😡

I'd echo the advice above, though I'd suggest you go and see your MP as soon as possible rather than wait for the CSA to reply, that way you've got that action underway.
