Spurgeons and Dad.Info doesn’t investigate reports of abuse or neglect. But below, you can find advice on who to contact if you have concerns about a child or young person.

Reporting a concern

It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that child gets help as soon as possible.

The sooner you contact your local children’s social care duty team, the quicker they can act. They’re available 24 hours a day, and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer. If a child is in immediate danger, please call the police straight away by dialling 999.

Good morning,

I hope you can help.. I am due to go to court in Ireland next week to enforce contact and a formal arrangement, the issue is the maintenance that she agreed to was £100 a month but now says she wants £180 a month.. (I live in the UK)

According to what I can find online it seems : "The max. payment that the District Court can order by way of maintenance orders is €150 per week per child and €500 for the spouse. The Circuit Court has unlimited jurisdiction."

Does this mean the max I can be legally forced to pay is 150euro ? So basically £125 approx?

What does the €500 relate to? A one off payment?

Many thanks

Mark

Thanks, just generic info.

They don't seem to have a system that calculates the maintenance it depends on the judge.

Unfortunately, we don't have knowledge on the rules outside the UK, so I would strongly advise you to get some professional advice locally, it could save you in the long run.
