I have just been informed by my wife who i have been seperated from for over 5 years, she has just fallen out of work and has stated that she will be entitled to 25% of my wages, is this true? I have been paying £110 per month for each of my 3 children, they also stay with me for 4 nights per month and one stays 3 nights per month. Is the 25% on the amount I have left after living expenses or on the whole amount I earn? One of my children is at college part time and is 17 yrs old.

Hi There,

Your ex is entitled to 15% of your take home pay through CSA but as far as I am aware that is all.

You can use the CSA calculator on line to work out what you would be expected to pay, it doesn't matter if she is in work or not you still pay the same.

Just search csa calculator in Google and have a pay slip handy

Darren
