Hi all . i have been paying maintenance for my daughters by private agreement for the last 6 years ,.. My ex has now involved the csa which means I have 100 pounds a month left to my name as they are asking for an amount based on last years earnings which I am now earning 5000 a year less ,..
This cost means I wont be able to afford birthday presents for them or even the fuel in my car to travel to Cornwall to see them let alone get to work
Is there anything I can do . I am at my wits end and just feel like giving up as it is affecting my relationship now as well
Hi There,
.
I thought unless you were self employed they could do an up to date calculation of your income, so that if it differs from the last finacial year, they could adjust it, have you spoken to them and asked them to look at current income rather than last years.
.
I know that you get told if your income changes withing the year to let them know asap.
.
If you have already spoken to them, and you didn't get anywhere you can appeal against the amount they have set and supply current wage slips ect. that won't be as easy is you are self employed as they would need accounts instead.
.
