Hi there

I'll move this post over to the maintenance section for you.

You can use the CMS calculator to help you work out what you should be paying

Hi Vincentwlee

From what you have written, your post suggests that you and your ex-wife currently have a family-based arrangement in place for child maintenance. With this type of agreement, there are no strict rules to stick to as a family-based arrangement is not legally-binding. Therefore, you and your ex-wife have the freedom to decide the terms of your agreement between yourselves, such as how much child maintenance you will pay.

If you would like to discuss child maintenance in further detail, you may wish to contact Child Maintenance Options. You can find more information about this organisation, including their contact details by visiting their website at http://www.cmoptions.org.

You may also be interested to know that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have a new web application, 'Sorting out Separation'. It aims to make it much easier for separated parents to find the support they need, when and where they need it, and encourages them to collaborate on a range of issues. Kind regards

William
