Liability Order

Hi...

Grateful if anyone can help and I am new here so apologies if covered before.

In no particular order:

1 If anyone can recommend an affordable solicitor to fight CMS I would be grateful.

2 Can anyone advise? Is it a criminal offence for the CMS to admit they are filing false numbers about you in court to acquire a liability order because this just happened to me last week? How do I tackle this, please? My MP is involved but getting nowhere.

3 The CMS has given me 4 days (!) to pay the outstanding sum - which they know is false - or will refer the matter to a debt collection agency which petrifies me. The sum is around 16k and is total fiction. Any advise?

4 What kind of time to pay arrangements can you agree with the CMS. I believe with HMRC you can agree 6 years....I simply cannot pay back what I am being asked in any shorter time frame. Any advise please?

Pretty desperate. The deadline is Sunday.

Hope someone can offer some decent counsel...

Best wishes

ADC.

This must be very worrying.  You could try speaking with Citizens Advice.  Also in many areas there are charities which help with debts. There is the Debt Advice Foundation and Debt Support Trust Management to name a couple.  I realise that this isn't really what you're looking for though.  There is a complaints procedure on the www.gov.uk website but I realise this will take longer than a few days to process

You can ask the Independent Case Examiner to look into your complaint but only after you've been through the full complaint process
