Good evening all

I have a question for you all. My ex has a non-molestation order on me which lasts a year. I will be fighting this in the coming month period, however I have a question relating to Child Maintenance.

As I can not be sure my ex wont use the money for her gaming activities (she regularly racks up hundreds a month to a game on her phone) would I be allowed to put the money into an account for my children at the prescribed rate that I currently pay?

This way the children can benefit from the maintenance payments, whilst I am sure that my ex cannot use the money for activities which do not benefit the children.

hi,

if your going through the Child maintenance service, then I highly doubt you can set up an account for your child. they will just give you the mothers bank details and tell you to pay into it.

Unfortunately you have to pay child maintenance regardless how she spends the money . I wouldn't bother contesting non-molestation order as you wont get anywhere unfortunately. best to let a year pass which isn't that long . only time you can contest one is before they intend of issuing one in the 1st place i am afraid. Believe it or not sometimes been served a non molestation benefits dads in some circumstances as you resist any temptation to contact your ex
