Hiya all, im new here. So im sorry if this has already been posted :whistle
Im in a good situation with my sons mother, we have a personal arrangement to pay maintenace.
The CSA though, seem to have trouble closing the case which has been requested by the mother several times. Im paying more than i would if it went directly through themselves. They're now demanding arrears that dont exist, and causing me stress and worry. All we both want is the case they dont need to be involved in CLOSED!!
Any advice would be a big help
Thank you
I would think they are refusing to close as there are arrears on there, ask them for a breakdown of the arrears
They may think the arrears are owed to the state in which case they can't close the case., this would happen in a situation where you owed your ex £ and the CSA paid it to her before receiving it from you.
Are they saying they can't close the case because of these so called arrears?
If they are arrears owed to your ex from you, she would need to write and sign a letter saying she wants them to be written off before they will close a case
