Hi
I'm a dad of two beautiful girls and have been paying maintenance for last 7+ years with out delay..
I have zero contact with the kids or any know how about thm..
No help from the courts..
Since the new CMS service has come in place my payment have changed and also stopped getting to my ex..
The payment leave my account and return back.
When I contacts CMS they said it was a problem from my ex's side.. 12 months later she's not got any payment . But CMS keep telling me to put the money aside and once her side issue is sorted she'll be entitled to a lump sum.
I am struggling to keep the money aside due to my current bills etc.
Surely CMS shud close my case and wait until my ex sorts her account issues out..
If i missed a payment CMS would come down me like a ton of bricks..
Now I feel as she's not responding yet CMS are fine with that..
What can I do... ?
Hi There,
.
As hard as it is, try and keep the money to one side, until CMS tell you differently, the last thing you want when you are struggling is to end up having to find the money, as if you can't pay it CMS have the power to take money from you wages before you get them which would leave you worse off then you are now.
.
Have CMS indicated how long they will make you wait before closing the case?
