Can someone ask you the following questions?
I am currently paying CSA.
I am currently working and paying for 2 children.
If I was to have a house gifted to me by a family member, would this affect my CSA payments? and would it make any difference if I rented it out?
If I was to become self-employed, and was to own and run a shop, would this affect my CSA payments, and if so how?
If I was to have any assets, would this affect my CSA payments, or is it wholly based on my salary?
Many thanks if anyone can help me.
Rob

Hi Rob,
My understanding;
Assets over £65000 are taken into account.
If you rented your property then your ex may request a variation and that they are taken into account. Classed as unearned income and taken into account if over £2500 per year.
If you became self employed and were not declaring or minimising income then a variation may be requested by your ex to consider diversion of income. Not sure how it could be proved you were diverting or not but may require information from an accountant or suchlike.
Any false declarations are punishable....£1000 fine I think.
Regards,
Dave
