How quickly to Inland revenue report changes to pay

Hi there, so if I understand the CSA get your pay info from the inland revenue. But what is the source of that info - is it your employers PAYE returns or is it a self assessment return. If it is a self assessment return then this would typically be quite dated. I only have another 6 months of maintenance to pay and am thinking of taking some money out of my personal pension (am over 55) in this tax year. However if the CSA will see this be paid to me by my pension provider (they deduct 20%) tax at source they will increase my maintenance contributions (I haven't taken any out so far so this would be an increase to my income) - when do you think this will flag on the CSA systems? If it is not until a few months after or when I have done my tax return then I should be fine - if it is straight away then I will be clobbered. My ex is currently disputing what I am paying so the CSA are looking into me.
