I'm currently paying child maintenance payments to my ex however I have recently opened a private pension with Vanguard and understand by paying into a private pension this will lower the child maintenance payments.

Does anyone know the rules around this and how this is calculated?

Cheers

Hi,

You would have to send CMS details of your private pension plan and they should reduce maintenance payments. Info;
