Hy guys
Here is my predicament
My son is 16 and a half and until recently was at college in full time education. He recently left full time education and i found him a apprentice job working 40 hrs a week with a contract at the company i work at, he has not yet started college until September as it is half way through term and it will be one day release.
I have gone to the CSA and told them of this, i have sent a letter i received from his old college stating he had left and no longer studied there, i have also sent a copy of his works contract stating he is in full time work and they say i still have to pay!!!
My wonderful ex has told them that he is still at college and has no job and she is still claiming benefits for him. The wonderful CSA will not stop my payments as she is still getting benefits!!!!
She is obviously claiming them frauduantly but as she is still getting payent as benfit i still have to pay, i have since twice reported her to the benfits cheat line , supplied them with all the info etc as above and they say they are investigating her which could take 6months or more!!!!! [censored]!!!! until it is sorted and she finally stops getting them benefits i still have to pay..... the nice woman on the phone said "dont worry we will prosecute and claim our benefit money back, but you cant get your money back as it has been paid to her and that was that"!!!
What the [censored] can i do, i have refused to pay anymore and they have stated that they are goiung to send the bailifs round to take goods!!!!
What can i do???? my wife is in tears everyday thinking we are going to get taken to the cleaners via the bailifs..
my wonderful ex has an income of £70k a year, married to a buiilder that has his own company, has a brand new range rover vogue, 3 holidays a year and a timeshare villa in the Dominican republic which she tells me thats where my csa payment goes too....I earn £24k a year and my wife is unemployed.......
God i hate her and this screwed up system that alloows such atrocities!! isnt it against my human rights???
Please help.. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁
Hi coxadad,
I have moved this post here to the finance board as this is the better place for it.
As for your problem - is does sound a little unfair. I can ask Child Maintenance Options to pop by and offer some advice. They won't be able to tell you anything specific relating to your case but they will be able to offer some general information and advice about how to try to get this sorted.
Gooner
...It's absolutely disgusting, but unfortunately your plight is not uncommon....it makes me so angry that these women seem to have carte blanche to behave in any way they want and get away with it! It makes me ashamed to be a woman...
I advise you to get in touch with your local MP, you can email him/her, explain your situation and ask if you can have an appointment at their surgery as a matter of urgency. I have found my own MP invaluable when all else fails, and there are Dads on here that have had a result once they have asked their MP for help.
The best of luck with everything 🙂
I agree with NJ about speaking to your MP. I would have a word with the CSA again to find out the exact procedure they have to follow before getting the bailiffs in - I'm not sure if they have to register the debt with court, in which case you should also get a chance to speak in court.
Additionally, bailiffs actually have very limited powers - they cannot enter your house unless you let them in - opening a door or window can class as an invitation, so ridiculous as it sounds, speak to them through a letter box, or from an upstairs window and there is absolutely nothing they can do.
One other possibility might be to try an action against her in the fast track court (small claims court) for the return of the money you are having to pay her - that is going to be very difficult for her to defend her position in front of a judge, and the cost of the fast track is very low.
