Hi all,
I need some help on how to stop child maintenance.
Currently, I pay child maintenance, collect pay.
last year in October, my son was taken away from the UK and my Ex moved to another country with the child, without my consent.
She stopped the school for the child in the UK and I didn't know, Currently, she put him into school in the country that she moved.
The child is almost 7 yrs old. He was born here and he used to go to the school until Oct last year.
I reported this to the child abduction team and the Central Authority is dealing with that I hope I can bring the child back and I can take care of him.
I also reported this to the Child maintenance team, that the Child is no longer in education and they keep rejecting this, saying she is still taking child benefit.
I called the Child Benefit Team saying the child is not anymore here and she is still claiming this illegally because she moved to another country--but they can't do anything about that -- saying only she can report that. 😖 .
I also called the fraud team around 24 December last year and reported this.
What can I do to stop this Child maintenance for now? if anyone can help.
I am so angry
Thank you for reading my message
hi,
this must be very frustrating. As maintenance payments should stop if parent with care leaves UK with child.
I suggest you contact your MP and ask them to raise complaint with CMS. and if possible, if you can gather any evidence to prove that she has permanently left UK.
I recommend you join this support group for paying parents. lot of experienced members there:
Thank for reply.
I will write to MP
