Hi guys new to forum and looking for some advice if possible hopefully someone in similar situation.
Currently separated for around 10months now, employed in uk paye with collect and pay setup.
I have been offered a position in Norway on a local contract so if accepted will be payed in NOK into Norwegian bank account.
Couple questions….
how does this stand with collect and pay ?
And my income post tax will be more than I make currently in uk but I will be paying between 40-50% tax so will be worse off post tax. Do they take this into consideration ?
I believe I will need to complete a uk self assessment as I will still be resident in uk but as there is a tax treaty between both countries I will not need to pay any uk tax.
Only reason considering accepting this job is a change in career path.
Hi,
If you don't report any changes to CMS then likely they will continue to collect payments from your UK account. May cause issues if the funds dry up in there. Is your employer deducting maintenance from your wages?
How long will this contract last in Norway?
They take payment direct from my current employer.
It will be permanent position I would need to apply for a residence/work permit in Norway and usually it’s valid for 5years.
