[Solved] First Tier Tribunal

In my case, even when the tribunal had found in my favour, the ex tried to appeal it (I think it goes to head of DWP or something like that) and that slowed the process further - a few months if I recall - before my ex finally withdrew her appeal and the tribunal ruling stood.

I thought that the only appeal route from a First Tier Tribunal is to an Upper Tier Tribunal. If you disagree with the FTT decision, you appeal, the FTT almost always refuse, so you go to the UTT. You can only appeal that decision on a point of law not on the facts in the FTT hearing.

My lawyer has advised that she is appealing to the Secretary of State by appealing against the CMS and I saw that referenced in the paperwork.

The responses from you all have been reassuring, so I am less worried. It is the unknown I think.
