First Child Maintenance Payment with £ 330 Arrears

CMS told me to start paying for Child Maintenance from Dec 1, 2024 for the case opened on Oct 5, 2024.
But there is already an arrear of £ 330 on my account.
On the monthly payment, it tells me the amount, including any arrears due.
So it is clear my arrear of £ 330 will be covered through a monthly payment.

Question:
1) Does anyone know where this arrear is coming from? Is it a CMS fee?
2) Then, after the arrears are deducted, will the monthly payment be reduced?

Thanks.

hi,

you will always be in arrears, as in 1 month behind with payments. did they tell you why payments start from December, when case opened in October?

I recommend you join this support group for paying parents:

@dadmod2

Thanks. I will join the group.
The date is December 1st. But the £ 330 does not equal a month's payment.
