Hi , my daughter is 18 just finished A levels and going uni next month , when do I stop paying CSA payments to her mother ??
Hi,
Usually it would be at the end of full time education. I would take that to be after sixth form.
Maybe discuss it with ex-wife and daughter. If it was me I would be suggesting that payments stop to the ex-wife but instead you will support your daughter directly with what she may need for her time at uni so she can concentrate more on her studies.
If you are paying via CMS, contact them - they should check with the mother that this is the case and that child benefit is ending (assuming your ex tells them the truth about this), and they will notify you both about the payments ending. I believe that August is usually the final payment month.
If you are paying privately without CMS, then it's up to you when and how you stop, but ETJG has given good advice on this above.
