[Solved] ex wife asking for payment after 2years

hi to all , i m new here , nice to meet you all.

my ex-wife is asking to pay a some of £1569 , after 2 years .
child maintenance stopped when he reached 18 , but now they are asking and saying that in their records shows .
my son is studying in the uni .
they are the one who stopped it , they were taking money form my employer , but now they are now sending me letter .
i was wondering what happening .

please help me thanks

Unfortunately, when the CMS move cases across from the old CSA to the new CMS scheme, they’re finding these dormant arrears.

It might help to ask them for a full breakdown of the alleged arrears, to see where they say you owe the extra. If you’re still unhappy you can go and see your MP and ask for help.

thanks , i have send a letter to them asking for more details about it , because whatever arrears they always added up and taken .
i have all the paper works and they are asking me to prove it ? i m a bit asking questions ? why should i give them proofs ? they should have in their systems isn`t ?

what you mean by advanced education?

hi matthill,

advanced education is basically University. stuff like college, a-levels is non-advanced education.

are you able to print a bunch of your bank statements, and send to CMS? that should help clear things up.
