Ex keeps changing payment day

Hi gents,

Not sure if anybody in same situation as me but I have a private arrangement with my ex and pay £60 per week with original agreed day every Wednesday before 9am via transfer online banking.

Well in recent weeks I will pay on a Wednesday and then I will get a message on a sat or sunday saying "please pay maintenance early ASAP please as I'm struggling" I agree along as Its agreed I don't pay on the following Wednesday or any day that week she will say okay no problem then end up asking again on that week we agreed I wouldn't pay lol!

Its hard because I know of I kick up a fuss its will cause stress on my relationship with her and kids etc but on the other hand i sleep better at night if payment day was fixed, its annoying waking up to a message from her asking for a early payment after paying £60 just 4 days prior I don't like being put on the spot I like things organised.

I would go on the CMS calculator and see how much you they calculate you should pay. If it's broadly in line with what you are paying, then tell your ex that you will pay only on the agreed day in future, and no earlier. If she's not happy, then pay £20 and open a case with CMS yourself - you'll still pay her directly, but at least you can simply set up a standing order as per CMS instructions and leave it at that.
