Hi
My ex (who my child lives with) got married in July, I have heard that this will affect csa payments as her new husbands income is now taken into account. Is this true??

Thanks

Hi There,
.
This is incorrect as far as I am aware, It's only your income that is taken into account.

Hello Paul-b

Your maintenance payments are your personal contribution to your child’s upkeep and therefore they are calculated based on your income only.

If you would like information about the different ways that maintenance payments can be set up and to receive a more personalised service, you can contact Child Maintenance Options directly, http://www.cmoptions.org.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have a web application, ‘Sorting out separation’. It aims to make it much easier for separating and separated parents (and childless couples) to find the support they need, when and where they need it, and encourages them to collaborate on a range of issues. The link is http://www.cmoptions.org/en/sortingoutseparation/index.asp.

Regards

William
