Hi Guys,
I am now around here so this might be a silly question but I do not seem to be able to find an answer.
I pay my CSA like a good boy. However my problem is that I now have a new family and we are struggling financially, I have been on the entitled2 website (or whatever it is called now) as it stands, because of what I get paid etc I am entitled to no benefits. However if I include my "non resident" children as dependents I am entitled to some benefits.
So I suppose the question boils down to if I pay CSA for them are they classed as dependents?
Hi Im not 100 percent sure but I think its unlikely as its usually who as the main responsibility for looking after the child, this is determined in a few ways .Any court orders in existence concerning residence/care
How many days a week the child stays with you
Who pays for food and clothing for the child (including pocket money)
Where your child’s clothes and toys are kept
Who is the main contact for school, nursery or care provider
Who does the child’s laundry
Who looks after the child when they are ill
