[Solved] Does The CMS recognise NEST

Dear All

Can anyone assist with information on NEST (new government pension scheme )

Basically I am taking early early retirement and cashing in my NHS Pension. I will then be returning to the NHs part time and will be auto enrolled into the NEST pension

My question is does the Child maintenance service recognise this pension and will they have to take my payments to this pension into consideration in my review which is due in a month or so

thanking you all in advance

Frank

Hi
Yes, all pension contributions are "removed" from "gross income" amount before CM is calculated, except where "excessive" pensions payments are being made.

But assuming that is not the case here. In practice it is difficult for RP to claim and CMS to prove that pension payments are excessive in all but the most obvious of cases.
