[Solved] Does New CMS require declaration of income change?

Hello All,

I am in need of some assistance if there is anyone out there that can help with my problem:

I have been paying child maintenance since 2012 through the CSA and they would take my monthly income and work out how much I needed to pay. They would send me a schedule each year so I knew what I was budgeting for.

I have recently had a letter saying my case is being changed over to the CMS and that they will be contacting HMRC directly to work out how much I should pay and send me a schedule through for the next year. They also said that I do not need to do anything/provide any information.

However, my situation has changed recently as I have started a new job and with this comes some complications. I am being paid 50% of my salary through PAYE and 50% through dividends that are in a company loan. On top of that, I am a director and will also be getting a yearly dividends payment.

I am worried that they will work out the wrong payment and I will get stung with a massive bill at the end of the year that I will not be able to afford to pay.

What is the best thing to do? Can I contact them and make them aware or will HMRC make them aware for me?

Many thanks for your help.

Hi There,
.
I would contact them and explain, I know they say you don't need to contact them, but that doesn't mean that you can't, give them a call and get some advice from them.
.
I have always found them very helpful when ever I have spoken to them, my case moved over to them last year, I was self employed but earning lower than the threshold when I transfered, and then when I stopped being self employed I contacted them to let them know about the change and they again where really good.
.
