With the CSA you would of had to bring the other mother into it, but with the CMS you don't need to . They will verify the existence of the other child through child benefit checks without contacting Mum A. You can say that you have a private arrangement with Mum A, and they wont require you to give any details of how much you pay etc.

I would still check the CMS calculator and see if you are paying mum B too much.

Checked with the calculator, using it as if I am only paying for one child. It works out the same as what I'm already paying.

If you have 2 children, then put this in to the calculator. The results that come back will be split between the 2 mums. If you are only putting one child in, then this will equate to 12% of your gross salary. With 2 children it will be 16%, but this will be split in half. Essentially 8% to each mother.

Sounds like you are being done over by mother B and are paying more than you should.
