Preparing to go self employed, the business should be making around £60,000 annually. My Partner and I both paying ourselves through dividends. My question is, at what point would the CMS view this as a diversion of income? say if I took a total of £25,000 of wages/dividends and declared them both to the CMS and my partner took £35,000 would that be viewed as a diversion? would be better taking half and half or will ANYTHING she takes be viewed as diversion? there is next to no info, guidelines online about this just appears to be a threat from CMS FIU that if they THINK you are diverting then you are, but what is the threshold?
TIA

I recommend you join this support group for paying parents. quite a few members have been investigated by FIU:
